Our housekeepers are responsible for the daily cleaning of all common areas in the Idlewood Inn residence. Housekeeping staff will access guest rooms and suites every day to complete cleaning of the bedroom and the bathroom.
Housekeepers access the student suites every two weeks to complete a regularly scheduled cleaning of the bathroom, and to report any deficiencies that may not have been previously reported. The Housekeeping schedule for Student Suites will be posted on bulletin boards throughout the residence!
In order to prepare for your Housekeeping Day, here are some great tips on what to do:
- Empty your shower from any shampoos, soaps, etc. so that it is ready for cleaning.
- Clear off your bathroom counter, tables and any items on your bed so that they can be cleaned.
- Remove your garbage and any other belongings from bedroom and bathroom floors so that it is ready to be mopped. or vacuumed
- Put away all your personal belongings such as jewerly and electronics.
- Housekeepers do their best to keep the provided schedules as set.
When your housekeeper has entered your suite, they will leave a Housekeeping Notification Form. This form will provide you with a list of any areas of your suite that they were not able to clean and an explanation as to why.
By returning the Notification Form back to the Front Desk with your feedback on the service performed, housekeeping may be able to arrange recleaning at a later time.
