The student residence program embraces the diverse needs of students facing the challenges of living away from home. our program is designed to create an environment that supports each student’s academic and personal success. Our goal is to create a safe and secure community residence that promotes equality, respects diversity, encourages leadership and self discovery, fosters personal health and wellness, and upholds high community living standards. For each student, the residence experience will be filled with positive memories that will last a lifetime.
Once you have accepted an offer of resident membership at Idlewood Inn you will receive an email from your resident Welcome Committee with some helpful first tips. Just before you arrive, you will find out about your room assignment at the residence. You should start planning for your arrival as soon as possible. You will need to complete the STUDENT RESIDENCE AGREEMENT and return it to Idlwood Inn before you arrive.
You will be added to the Idlewood Inn Resident email list “AS-Residents”, connecting you to the resident member community before you arrive. You will also be signed up to receive the “Weekly Bulletin” e-newsletter for residents detailing events and news to keep you informed of what is happening at the residence.
In this section for incoming and new residents, you will find a helpful checklist of items to bring or purchase on arrival, as well as a checklist of things to do on arrival to help you settle in once you’re here. You will also be able to find out about local information at our Student Welcome Meeting, and about transportation options to, from and around the residence.
